Review:
type and a lot people are calming as an IPhone copy or it looks lot like other
off phones on the market
but it doesn’t matter
because every single phone looks like the other phone. Obviously it is not the most attractive phone out in the market but I think it is an attractive phone and it feels very comfortable in everyone’s hand still smaller than the iPhone 7plus and it is slightly narrower than the Oneplus 3T. All the buttons are in the exact same positon that they were on the Oneplus 3. So, you here have a slider on the left side and volume controls on the right. And of course, you still have that audio jack on the bottom the only thing that you would like to see instead of having one more speaker. It is actually have two speakers which would have been a great opportunity. For Oneplus to utilize the earpiece as a second speaker it wouldn’t improve the sound quality.
The software and the performance is hands down. This is smoothest and most fluid phone on Android. It is probably even faster or if not as fast as the Google’s pixel. It is using snapdragon 835. This the same processor that’s inside the Galaxy S8 and not once has it slowed down or caused any issues. There is 8 Gigabytes of Ram inside this phone or 6 Gigabytes if you buy the cheaper model but 6 or 8 is overall.
Thirdly, the display is so so type. This is not that level good or not too bad. This is third year or third device in a row that they have used. They have used the display technology is still Amoled, still 1080p, still full HD. Though, it needs to improve its display technology.
Thirdly, camera is the biggest complaint about this phone. Not because the bad camera it is not. It is good especially for the price point. It is not as good as Oneplus made it out to be. You have to remember before the phone was released they made a big sting about how they partnered up with DXO mark how they flew in Sony representatives to help fine –tune the camera module but based on first impression and other reviewers impressions the camera is good but it is not great. So, it is not so good as the Galaxy S8 or iPhone 7plus or even the pixel but better than phones like the Xiamen 6. Though, they did make some changes there is two lenses on the back one 20 megapixel sensor and a 16 megapixel sensor. One of them acts as a telephone lens so you can zoom up to two times similar to the iPhone 7plus and you can also do things called portrait mode which allows you to have that nice depth of field. If you are expecting this is to be the best camera or one of the best cameras on the market it is not there but is still good for its price.
Last not the list, the battery has been very inconsistent. If you charge on first time like 4 or 5 then it will alive 2 or 2 and half hours. The cool thing of this is the charges. The only downfalls of this phone is that doesn’t have wireless charging. If you want to use charge and you have carry around the cord and the brick that comes with the Oneplus 5.
Summary: Oneplus 5 is super impressive with performance. It is faster than the Galaxy S8, fasters than LG G6 and probably just as fast or if not faster than the pixel. On top of that it has a okay camera an okay display and good design but a great price of this price pint it rivals a lot of flagship phone are on the market when it comes to certain areas but the one thing that is still differentiating from the top phones on the market right now is the display and the camera quality.
